Strawberries!

We went to pick strawberries today and had a lot of fun.  This berry actually made it into V's bucket.  I think the girls ate more than they put in the bucket.

Playing on the new race car mat.

April 2012 - Garden

We have a small garden in our backyard.  Randy had Evia help with the planting last weekend.  She looks adorable with her trowel.

Not sure what was so funny, but I love this picture.

Showing off the grub she caught.  She also caught several worms.  Check out those dirty hands.

April 2012 - Easter

The pretty sisters in their pretty Easter dresses.

I tried to get individual pictures but Evia kept doing weird poses and Violet was distracted by an airplane.  She is obsessed with airplanes now.

Randy's company had a big egg hunt on Saturday.  Both of the girls had a great time.

I gave Evia a talk about being nice during the egg hunt.  She shouldn't push other kids or take eggs out of other kids' baskets.  She then looks at me and says, "okay, so I shouldn't bite anyone while I'm out there?" No, Evia, we don't bite during egg hunts either.  During the hunt, she would pick up an egg and shake it next to her ear.  I asked what she was doing and she informed me that was how she knew if the egg had something good in it.  If it passed her shake test, she would open the egg to see what was in it before she would put it in her basket.  Some eggs just got thrown back on the ground.

Violet would have stayed and petted the bunny all afternoon if we would let her.  And no grandparents, she doesn't need a pet rabbit.

Evia got her arm painted.

So Violet decided to get hers painted, too.  V wants to do whatever E is doing.

March 2012 - Presented by Evia

We go to the park pretty regularly.  Sometimes we will do a park picnic and I'll pack snacks for us to eat outside.  Evia thinks eating at the park is great.  I was preparing our picnic and she decided to document.

Almonds and cheese...

Pears, too.

She took 50 pictures at the park.  Every single one was of the mulch.  I have no idea why she likes the mulch so much.

There were about 25 self portraits on her camera.  She hasn't figured out how to really take a picture of herself yet, but I'm sure she'll figure it out.

These are the sandals she really wanted.  She picks out her own clothes now and it's fun to see the outfits she comes up with.
